Outdoor Ambassadors is asking YOU for assistance. Fundraising for the upcoming annual summer camp. Families will pay a portion of the costs for a student to go, but the expense of a 4-day long camp is just too much for the vast majority of families here. We are asking you to donate what you can.

Donate Here! Because only..
  • $20 pays for 1 student's food & housing for 1-day at the camp
  • $50 pays for 1 student's food & housing for 1-day + transportation.
  • $100 pays for 1 student's entire 4-days of food & housing, transportation, and all materials required for their participation.
Previous camps held by Outdoor Ambassadors have "changed me a great deal", "given me hope", "taught me not to waste things" (translated from participants).

Members of Outdoor Ambassadors groups participated in the national clean-up day in Albania on April 20th. They also participated as dancers for Albania's first ever flash mob to promote environmental awareness on April 22nd!

How many boys and girls in Albania have ever planted a tree?  How many have gone hiking in the mountains in their local communities?  How many understand the environmental challenges facing the nation, and are actively seeking to work to change their world for the better?

There are at least 150 youth who do just that every week.  There are currently over 180 students from around Albania who are involved in a group called Outdoor Ambassadors who meet weekly to learn about the environment and work to conserve Albania’s natural beauty.

Outdoor Ambassadors is a project designed and implemented by American Peace Corps volunteers and their Albanian counterparts, that seeks to engage youth in environmental preservation activities in cities and towns around Albania.  Outdoor Ambassadors is educating the new generation of Albanian youth about the environment and developing community leaders in conservation.  Through Outdoor Ambassadors, youth are gaining an appreciation for nature and building the confidence and leadership skills necessary to advocate for its protection.
