Club Activity Ideas & Links

Humans and the Ecosystem – It’s not all good weather yet, so attached is a presentation in Shqip on humans and their interaction with the ecosystem. A great learning activity for a rainy day!

Club Update

AN Club Name: ‘Team Xtreme’ Librazhd OA

Number of people in club: 15 regular participants

Club Mission OR ‘Theme’: To go hiking in Librazhd and around Albania, to learn English, and to do community projects.

Brief summary of a recent activity: We recently visited the recycling plant in Librazhd, where one of the engineers explained how the process works.  We're also planning a clean-up with a local school and we're going to separate the trash from the recyclable materials. Then the recycling guy will grab the metal and plastic and recycle it. Also (as of now) he said he'll donate some flowers and small trees for the high school in return for the plastic and such.  After the clean up, we're going to go door to door and hand out pamphlets about the environment and explain why you shouldn't burn plastic.
