Club Mission OR ‘Theme’: Promoting environmental awareness in the Kukes community
Brief
summary of a recent activity and/or meeting: We kicked off
the summer with 12 of our members attending the summer camp in Erseke.
Everyone had a really great time and came back with a lot of new ideas
for activities in our community. One of our current projects is to
trying to clean up a section of the lake shore here in Kukes. We have
held two trash clean ups at the lake and are hoping to have more. We
hope to eventually acquire funding and permission to put up a sign
promoting environmental awareness and consider this specific section of
the lake to be our "adopted" place. We also went on a hike up one of the
local mountains here and had a great time enjoying all the natural
beauty Kukes has to offer!
Photos below are of the club at the lake cleaning up and on a hike near Kukes.
Contact Laura at secretary@outdoorambassadors.org if you know someone who would like to be added to the Outdoor Ambassadors email list. |
