Training Coordinator Shadow Committee Member Needed! – A once in a lifetime committee position is now available to YOU! The AN committee is searching for a Training Coordinator shadow committee member among Group 13 volunteers. The description for Training Coordinator is directly below. If you are interested in this position submit a short letter of interest to: committee@outdoorambassadors.org. Statements should be submitted by September 1st.
Training Coordinator Description: The Training Coordinator is in charge of planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all regional and national trainings for Peace Corps volunteers, their counterparts, and youth leaders involved in Outdoor Ambassadors. He/she either gives trainings personally, coordinates efforts of other Peace Corps or local volunteers, or hires professional trainers. There should be at least 1-2 major trainings annually. Summer Camp Cancelled – Due to new regulations for camps that are planned in part by Peace Corps Volunteers, we must postpone the summer camp. There are some legal aspects that we cannot reconcile before the camp dates. Tentatively the camp may be rescheduled for Spring 2011. Sorry for the confusion and know that we did everything in our power to avoid this. Outdoor Ambassadors received the Vodafone grant very late in the summer and were rushed trying to get all legal aspects covered. Inform your students that a camp may happen, but at a later date. Thank you for all your hard work and we apologize again for the inconvenience.

Club Update
AN Club Name: Gramsh AN Club
Number of people in club: 10-15 depending on the day
Club Mission OR ‘Theme’: Environmental education through enjoyment of the outdoors!
Brief summary of a recent activity: Two of Gramsh's students are enjoying their time in Duluth. This June about 12 students camped overnight at the waterfall in Sotire. We splashed around a bit and enjoyed the campfire. Also in July we had a wonderful, but small, neighborhood clean up to raise awareness about our club. We painted the trees and picked up some garbage.

~ Thank you to Kim Lancaster for this wonderful submission! ~
