Earth Day and Global Youth Service Days –  Peace Corps Volunteers have a great opportunity to celebrate and support local service opportunities through two different global days of action coming up in April:  Earth Day, April 22, 2010 and Global Youth Service Day (GYSD), April 23-25, the largest service event in the world with participants in more than 100 countries.  Attached are two documents with resources to help volunteers plan, organize, and share the great activities that will take place on these days.

Club Update

AN Club Name: Gramsh OA

Number of people in club: ten members and another 5 who filter in and out, BUT ALL ARE WELCOME

Club Mission OR ‘Theme’: Our club mission is to have fun with, protect, learn about, and teach the wonders of the Albanian Wilderness.

Brief summary of a recent meeting: Our club is very busy now that the weather has arrived! We are currently having a fundraising party next Friday to promote the club and raise money to travel back to the Sotire Waterfall. Last September we hiked out to the waterfall with the Elbasan group and cleaned up the camping area. This year we want to clean up the area before the tourist season starts and hopefully see one of the elusive Albanian Double Headed Eagles!
